It may not be too much fun to live with an alchoholic husband but instead of breaking the relationship, may be fear of loosing husband’s assests, she eliminated him and tried to grab all the assets.

Mumbai: The Mumbai crime branch has arrested a 35-year-old woman who had given supari to get her alcoholic husband killed in April this year. The woman, Tarabai Shinde, had been saving money for the past 18 months and also took a loan to arrange for the supari, police said after arresting her on Sunday.

Tarabai was married to 45-year-old Ramdas Shinde who worked as a labourer. The other accused are autorickshaw drivers Raju Sumant Thorat, 31, and Rahul Singh, 21, residents of Mank-hurd.

On March 17, an unidentified body with strangulation marks was found off the Jogeshwari Link Road, and a case of murder was registered at Vikhroli police station.

“The crime branch got information that Raju Thorat and his associates had murdered someone. We then arrested Thorat and his associate Singh on Sunday evening from Mankhurd. The two confessed to having received a supari of Rs10,000 by Tarabai to kill Shinde,” said joint commissioner of police (crime) Rakesh Maria.

“She had saved Rs5,000 over a period of 18 months and took another Rs5,000 on interest from a moneylender to pay for the supari. She gave the money to her nephew Thorat for the job,” said Maria.

He added that on March 16, Thorat and Singh followed Shinde to Lovely Inn country liquor bar in Shivaji Nagar and waited for him to come out. When Shinde, who was drunk, came out of the bar, the duo approached him and offered him some more alcohol. “They took Shinde to Vikhroli in their autorickshaw and strangled him with a nylon rope and dumped his body,” said Maria.
