Crisp Organises Father's Day Rally

CRISP is an NGO formed on 24th May 2008, by people who recognize the serious effects of Parental Alienation of children due to single parent families on account of divorce or separation. CRISP is also focusing on furthering the rights of children to remain connected with both parents. Our aims and objectives are based on research findings. We are a group of people from all walks of life, like software engineers, doctors, teachers, businessmen, social workers, etc. which includes women and senior citizens to address this burning issue of our present day society and its realities.

CRISP has organized National Father’s Day Rally on Saturday, the 20th June,2009 between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM at Mahatma Gandhi Statue, M.G. Road, Bangalore, to demand FAMILY LAW REFORMS and to highlight the grievances of Fathers deprived of children’s access due to biased laws and failure of our system on all fronts.

Father’s Day is a day honoring fathers, celebrated worldwide. In India also the Father’s day is being celebrated since many years as an expression of love and tribute to the Fathers. The present day fathers participate equally in parenting of their children, in all spheres of their development, physically, mentally and emotionally due to the changing scenario of our family system, especially in cities and their role is paramount.

Unfortunately, however, the divorce rates are also going up substantially. There are more than 13,000 cases in the Family Courts of Bangalore alone, pending disposal and lakhs of cases in the country. CRISP is concerned with the growing custody battles between the parents and the ill effects on the children due to their parents’ separation. We at CRISP, which includes fathers, mothers and grandparents have charted a Pro-Family agenda and are actively working against and exposing Anti-Family organisations and systems. We speak for the rights of the innocent impacted Children who are deprived of the love and affection of both their natural parents and shared parenting is the only alternative arrangement to spend quality time with both the parents.

The traditional Indian Value system has undergone a sea change from the olden days where the mother was the nurturer and fathers the provider to the child. Now the present day father is equally competent in taking care of the needs of the child and in taking on the responsibilities of child upbringing and in no way inferior to the mother and this mindset against fathers is not valid. Serious disorders like Parental Alienation Syndrome (PAS),which is the worst form of child abuse wherein one parent out of revenge against the other parent deprives the child of the love and affection and care of the other parent and Reactive Associative Disorders, warp a child’s development. Studies have shown that there is a tendency for such children to become criminals in their later years, for which the society and our system are directly responsible.

CRISP also held a press conference a press conference on Thursday, the 18th June 2009, at the Press Club, Cubbon Park, and highlighted the problems faced by LAKHS of CHILDREN owing to the insensitive & biased laws of our country against the fathers in separation or divorce cases involving child custody/ visitation rights cases. A presentation was made on the serious effects of a fatherless society being imposed on our children, due to the outdated and casual approach of the Family Courts system in our country and the need for SHARED PARENTING and setting up special Guardian Courts in the interests of the children who have been denied their basic right of access to their parents.

“Crisp wishes everybody on the occasion of father’s day and everybody is invited for the rally. Please participate in large numbers and recognize the contribution of dads”.

CRISP is a great initiative and the first of its kind in India. Shared parenting is all about gender equality which the likes of Gaurav above are blind towards. Gaurav and his tribe understand gender equality as female domination. To them, that is all equality is about - allow women to dominate.

Nice to listen about shared parenting from you. When you are raising the issue of shared parenting then why are you forgetting that in most of the cases it is believed to be woman's duty to look after the child. Why not the men share this responsibility equally? Why only women have to left their job to look after the baby?

Gaurav: you sound like too much manipulated by the feminazi hue and cries... If women are leaving jobs its at their convenience.. no one can control anyone by force!!! Apparently most women wanna go work just to get rid of the household chores; not to make a living and run the family.

You are a fool to say this Prasoon. My sister goes to work every morning after completing household chores and come back and again do all the work from cooking to cleaning dishes, before going to bed. She is working because she doesn't want to waste her education at home. Working women do double the work.

@Gaurav,

And why is it that men are expected to protect and provide for their women? Why is it that no working woman asks for an employed man? Why is it that women don’t pay men alimony and maintenance?

@Gaurav,

Your sister seems to think that being at home is a waste. It shows how much she and yourself have been brainwashed by the feminazis to believe that junk! She has the choice not to work. By the way, did your sister get married to a man who was unemployed? When she was looking, was she ready to get married to an employed man? Is she ready to pay alimony and maintenance to her husband in case of a divorce? Every story has two sides! You are only looking at one side and believing that to be the gospel truth.

What you said is true but there are reasons behind this. Our laws have been framed according to the structure of the society and in this structure men were the earning people. Even today only few women work and majority of the women depend upon their husbands.

Ok...here you guys go.

You mean to say, when the day starts, a woman should cook, clean the house and go to the office. Then in the evening when she comes back, she should look after the child's homework and then again cook and clean before going to bed. Then when she gets divorced (which you people think is a compulsory situation in every marriage today), she should pay the alimony and take care of husband's expenses.

This is crazy...instead of marriage papers, you should get the adoption papers signed, then these things will better suit a couple when a woman adopts her man rather than marrying him. He he he...you guys are funny. Really!!

Otherwise there's a better option to get married to a robot, who'll take care of your house without any complaint as a loyal servant and will never file a case against you in the court.

Some people never change...

@Gaurav,

Earning does not automatically amount to domination! I really wish my wife earns and takes care of me. While I enjoy the comfort of a house and doing easier work! If men work, it does not amount to domination by men. In a way, it is domination by women because men get to do tougher work. Its not easy to work outside as compared to home. Nor is it easy to get a job. In earlier times, it was very difficult to work as working meant being exposed to dangers from nature, animals, dacoits, etc.

You also need to know that feminists are merely focussing on one aspect of the system. To promote their agenda, they have labelled this as ”Male domination”.

But why are you guys not looking at the other side? Why are you not questioning the feminist concepts? Where is your education and rational mind now?

You women expect the men to be well-settled and take responsibility for the family and yet the woman takes away his job [jobs are scarce]....you want men to give equality and yet expect the men to pay alimony and maintenance to women who are working!!! This is nothing but SHIT! Where is the equality??? YOU WANT TO TAKE ADVANTAGES OF TRADITION AND MODERNITY! And who said that men don’t take care of kids or cook? Men in today’s times do that too. Thats the reason men are fighting for shared parenting.

Ekta- ”instead of marriage papers, you should get the adoption papers signed”

this is exactly what I have to say to WOMEN and Govt. All maintenance laws should be repealed immediately.

It's not an attempt to highlight the father's cause rather it is a ploy to justify the male dominance over the female.Rather than celebrating the mother's day or father's day we should observe a family day.

@Andy,

Male domination is a myth that never existed except in certain portions of history. The fact is that society was invented for women more than men. For in those days, nature was a threat to human beings. Women were kept in safe confines of the house and men were made to work in dangerous places to feed the women. But now when nature has become weak, women want to work like men and are claiming that men dominated. Absolute rubbish!

Alright Rohan, you send her a cheque of 30000 per month and i'll ask her to sit at home. You think that in a single income of a man, the expenses can be managed?? They are not living in the village nor do the parents support them financially. Its easy to brag but its the world of competition.

@Gaurav,

I know plenty of women who don’t work. When your sister got married, she didn’t look out for an unemployed man. She is playing the supportive role for the family. The society still expects men to be the primary bread winners. So where is the equality? I am referring to that when I say choice. A woman is asked ”Do you work?” A man is asked ”Where do you work?” This is the difference.

Regarding high cost of living, it is created by the forces that benefit from it - the MNCs, Capitalists, political groups etc. In Nature, everything is available and the world has enough to meet everybody’s needs; not anybody’s greed. There are vested interests which are forcing women to work much against the age-old world culture of men being providers.

Anyway, my point is that if you talk about discrimination, men are as much discriminated.

i am not sure what is the fight about. some think it is male dominance while others blame the female. discussion on this topic can go on and on and on.........

can we not just forget the past, close our eyes and imagine our partner to be a human being and treat him/her like a friend. this doesn’t mean that there will be no fights. probably human beings are made to find a reason to disagree but at least this idiotic issue of which ’sex’ is more dominating will end. i hope it ends some day.

the idea behind ’Crisp Organises Father’s Day Rally’ is sensible at least in my view.

children need both parents and increasingly men and women have started sharing the responsibility.

if husband and wife find it difficult to live together peacefully then it is up to them to divorce or continue in the relationship.

however, in the whole mess, it is sensible to have rules that give parents shared responsibility of the child in majority cases so that child can share his/her life with both parents.

Yes most of us feel it sensible but not to your great Indian judiciary and the jokers sitting there. For them ALL men are born criminals/rapists and ALL women are saints.

Lots of suicide of fathers gave birth to CRISP.
